A month ago we challenged the students of CSM to be bold about their faith though Bible Studies. It has been awesome to see groups of students gathering to teach Bible Studies each week! A group of students that pray on Thursday's started a Bible Study after their prayer and are having 25+ people coming to it!
Proud of you guys!
Games, great food, minute to win it, ugly sweaters, a video contest, and good times! Last Friday we had our Connect Christmas Party. We had a great time celebrating the Christmas season together!
A special thanks to all the staff, students, and volunteers who made it possible!
We also hosted a video contest during the Christmas party. We received some great submissions! Check out the winner of the Video Contest! (Click on the graphic and watch on youtube.)
Congratulations to our Ugly Christmas Sweater winners!
Last night we began our Christmas series at Reverb called "Unexpected." During this series we are looking at the different aspects of the Christmas story that are unexpected. This week we looked at the unexpected relationship of Mary & Joseph that allowed God's favor to be upon their lives. Over Two Thousand years ago God used two teenagers to change the world. God is still looking for teens today that will be willing and obedient that he can use to tell the greatest story ever told.
Reaction band did an amazing job this week going acoustic! They played one of my favorite songs, "Beautiful Things" by Gungor.
I am so excited about this series as we take a fresh look at the people of the Christmas story. We will see that God wants to use us just like he used them; to do the unexpected!
Today has been an absolutely overwhelming day. Today was my last official Sunday as Student Pastor at Greater Lighthouse Pentecostal Church. I have been going to the Greater Lighthouse since I was Six days old. Every major transition and event of my life has been shared with the great people of GLPC. It is because of a great family, Pastor, and church family that I am what I am today. Words can't express the love that we have for the people of our great church and the love that we feel from them. I am so thankful to have been raised in GLPC. It has been said that no one gets to choose the heritage given to them. Even though I did not choose my heritage, I would never change it. I have been so blessed through the Greater Lighthouse Church! We can't thank everyone enough for the kind words, cards, and gifts given to us during this time of transition.
Revolution, it has been an honor to lead you guys! You are the best. It has been my privilege to watch so many of you grow up and keep walking with Jesus! I treasure the memories that I have with each of you. Seven years ago I would have never imagined all that God has done in all of our lives. I know God only has greater things in store. I am so proud of all of you!
Today has been bittersweet. For even though we are sad about moving away from so many people we love, we are excited about the next chapter of our lives.
This week we will be traveling to Apopka, FL to lead the Student Ministry at The Pentecostals of Apopka. We are excited to be joining the POA team.
Again, words fall short to describe our love for our Pastor, R.M. Hendricks, and all the wonderful people of the Greater Lighthouse. We love you all so much. This will always be home.
Below are some pictures taken at the reception that the church had for us tonight:
Check out these pictures from last weekend. Saturday we concluded our series on "THE GOSPEL" with a powerful move of the Holy Spirit! Tyler Medina did a great job preaching the Word. It was sad to have our last youth service of the school year but this summer is going to be exciting! Also, thanks Revolution for the Birthday cake! I was surprised. My Mom even came to celebrate. You guys are the best!
Then Sunday night we had our annual reception for all our High School graduates. It was a great time of honoring some amazing students!
We had an AMAZING service tonight at revolution! Tonight was bittersweet because it was Jerrod's last service at revolution. He is moving to Louisiana to work at a church in the city of Wisner! I am so proud of him. He did a great job leading worship and preaching about #VIRAL GENEROSITY! I was so proud of all the students who responded in the altar! We had an unforgettable move of the Holy Spirit!
(Forgive my nostalgia) Jerrod was only 14 when I became Youth Pastor. It has been so awesome to watch Jerrod grow in faith and the calling of God! I am so excited to see what God is going to do through him in LA! It is the greatest thing to see students like Jerrod stepping up and following God wherever He leads! Now that's #VIRAL!!!
Check out some pictures from tonight...

I found this picture the other day from a couple years ago. It is a photo of Tyler and Brittany teaching a Bible Study in the library of Central High School. We have been talking about taking truth #VIRAL for the last two weeks at revolution. Teaching some friends a Bible Study at school is an incredible way to take truth #VIRAL in your world.
Here are some links to Bible Studies/Tracts that you can teach to/share with friends at school:
Take a chance. You never know what will happen if you share the Gospel with your friends! That's VIRAL!!!
