Ok, I'll admit it. I think I would buy anything that is shiny and has an Apple logo on it.
I got my first "Powerbook" around 5 years ago and it was love at first gigabyte. (Please pardon the sad tech humor) Since then I have witnessed first hand the innovation of Apple. I have been amazed as they keep pushing forward with incredibly innovative products.
Tuesday they did it again. The much anticipated iPhone 4 was announced and it did not disappoint. Multitasking, FaceTime, Retina Display, HD video recording, and even video editing with iMovie. Iphone 4 is truly a revolutionary product. Even though much of the world was anticipating this announcement due to a "lost" prototype, everyone was still in amazement to see Steve Jobs officially unveil iPhone 4.
The thing that amazes me about innovations like iPhone 4 is that someone thought of the idea long before the product was ever ready to launch to the masses. The world saw the technology Tuesday. But to some creative mind somewhere that dreamed it up years ago, Tuesday's announcement was old news. Even tough he (or she :) dreamed the product long ago, it took time for the product to be ready to bring forward to the masses. As we see iPhone 4 today, there is someone sketching iPhone 7 or 8 on a drawing board at 1 Infinite Loop, Cupertino, CA.
This is much like our walk with Jesus. God's creative plans for our lives have already been made.
"Before I shaped you in the womb, I knew all about you. Before you saw the light of day, I had holy plans for you: A prophet to the nations - that's what I had in mind for you." (Jeremiah 1:5)
But like a much anticipated product launch, God launches his plans into action for our lives at the right time.
God also told Jeremiah,
"I know what I'm doing. I have it all planned out - plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for." (Jeremiah 29:11)
God knows exactly what he is doing in our lives. He holds the design and he will unveil his plan at the right time. So don't try to make it happen. Allow God to unveil his finished product for your life when he is ready. Just keep trusting God and doing what he is leading you to. And don't forget, when it comes to our lives, God always has the plans for the next best thing.in Devotion, Web/Tech | Permalink | Comments (1) | TrackBack (0)

Today I was working on my myspace (which has not been touched for months). I had a crazy surprise. About a year and a half ago I started a myspace group called United Pentecostal Church Youth. Honestly I have not thought about it probably since the week that I started it. I remembered it today and I went to check it any other people had joined the group...to my surprise 835 people had joined! That is just funny to me. I started the group and 834 other people joined on their own. I guess it just shows that you never know the full reach of something that you begin...

I recently started a page on facebook. What kinda peaked my interest was an article that I read in the latest edition of FAST COMPANY. Also, I knew that alot of churches were really using FaceBook to build authentic community. One reason that I never had a facebook before was because your page cannot be public. That means that you have to be a facebook member to view my page. Also facebook is limited in the custom design of the layout. But with myspace the extreme customization is usually Crazy in a Bad way. Anyway, so I started a facebook account...and I Really like it. When it comes to building community, it is the best! By Far. With a click of a button I was immediately connected with hundreds of my friends from high school.
It seems to be alot more Private and concise. I am really liking it. It seems like Facebook is a Classy myspace! It seems to be much safer and cleaner...also, there are alot of cool ways to connect people with your church.
What are your thoughts about facebook?
